When you’re looking for someone to capture moments for you, you don’t just need to fall in love with the images you see- you need to connect with the way that photographer sees things. As you explore my portfolio, blog and other places, I hope to introduce you to how i see the world.

I could tell you about my education, or how my grandparents bought me my first camera when i was 13. Or how i loved spending every spare minute in the darkroom, learning more about photography every summer. That I left a career in the fashion world to pursue photography, my passion, full time.

But that isn’t what matters most when hiring someone to photograph your family.

I have had many experiences that have made me realize how precious this life is, and how precious every moment is. Every one of us has great times and not so great times. I wholeheartedly believe in celebrating the good times. My home is filled with images of my family (as small as we are, just my husband and i, and of course our dog Baxter for now) because on the not-so-good days, these bring me joy and i know that better times are right around the corner.

I want you to look at your photographs and remember exactly what made you smile like that. As your photographer, i will capture the details of your world, as it is today and present the beautiful story that is your life. I believe the best captured moments bring the feeling of that day right back.
